Spec Mustang SMG
Spec Mustang (SMG), is a class in the San Francisco Region of the SCCA. The class is based on the 2005-2009 Mustang GT that produces a fast and exciting race car with a reasonable build and maintenance cost. Random dyno testing is done to assure everyone is within a few horsepower of one another. This has created very exciting, close and clean racing. With the strict specifications, there is a premium on driver ability and consistency, not bank account. Because of the adjustable and stout racing suspension specified in this class, car set up is also a test of skill for driver and crew.
